Oregon Wine
One or Two Day Trip. With more than 400 wineries in Oregon-more than 200 in the Willamette Valley not far from Portland-it's hard to winnow the recommendations down for a one- or two-day trip. There are six recognized viticultural areas in the northern Willamette Valley alone. [Read More - PDF]
Oregon Garden
A day trip to the Oregon Garden may be just the trip for you! More than 20 specialty gardens, including wetland gardens, grace this 80-acre site in the foothills of the Cascades southwest of Portland. There's a café on site, so there's no need to pack a lunch. We recommend that you also visit Silver Falls State Park, not far away. Recently, many folks are recommending that this gorgeous park be designated as a National Park. Take one of the trails past and beneath the waterfalls and you'll see why. It's well worth the visit and easy to find. [Read More - PDF]
