SLR, Coastal Issues & Climate Change Adaptation Webinar

This webinar Sea Level Rise, Coastal Issues and Climate Change will be held on January 12, 2012 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm EST. Presenters will share leading practices, innovations and lessons learned based on RAC projects underway that are informing adaptation decisions related to water planning and management. The webinar will explore questions including "What is unique about considering climate change adaptation in water-related decisions?", "What approaches, tools and lessons learned could be transferred to other locations?", and "Based on your results to date, were there any surprises, or unexpected outcomes that could inform planning of adaptation measures in other regions?"

Presentations will include "Updating BC’s flood hazard and sea dike guidelines" by Jesal Shah of the British Columbian Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations; “Guidance for the use of visualizations for climate change adaptation decision-making” by the Collaborative for Advanced Landscape Planning, UBC, and "Impacts of and adaptation to saltwater intrusion into freshwater aquifers" by Atlantic RAC.
