Wetlands, Coastal Communities and Sea Level Rise

A useful study which provides a concrete opportunity to better understand how sea level rise will affect coastal communities and coastal resources was recently published in the journal Environmental Research Letters. It includes sea level rise planning maps for eastern seaboard states from Massachusetts to Florida, which distinguish the developed lands that are likely to be protected from a rising sea from those lands likely to be available for the inland migration of coastal ecosystems.
