News from Southern Maine: Next Time: Read the Directions

Happy New Year! It’s official.  Winter has settled into southern Maine.  Last week I watched the snow fall sideways.  This weekend we were in the single digits.  During cold weather my husband and I have been a little jealous of people who have cars that can be turned on (and warmed up) remotely. A little warm-up makes it a lot easier to scrape ice and frost off windows and frost-free windows make for much safer driving.   Last week we looked into getting one of those little electronic thingies fixed that locks and unlocks our car remotely. It’s always been a little moody.  Works sometimes.  Doesn’t work other times.  Guess what we learned?  The one button we never pressed was for starting the car.

I guess we should’ve read the directions — (two winters ago).

Stay warm,
Jeanne Christie
