Restoring Wetlands: Chesapeake Bay Program Reports on Progress

In 2008, 472 acres of wetlands were established or reestablished in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia. The restored total stands at 13,005 acres, or 52 percent of the goal. The goal is to restore 25,000 acres of wetlands in the watershed portions of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia by 2010.
