Jackson Bottom study incorporates science, art

By Kathy Fuller – Hillsboro Argus (blog) – October 22, 2010
On a chilly but sunny fall morning this week, sixth graders from W.L. Henry Elementary School happily tromped about the meadow at Jackson Bottom Wetlands, sweeping giant nets along the grass. They were hoping to catch something that jumped, flew or crawled. Once they did, there was no squealing or squeamishness. These students are scientists, busily doing their field work.
