“The failure by state and federal governments to develop climate change adaptation strategies leaves individuals, companies, and local governments to stumble blind and alone onto an increasingly dangerous terrain.” This quote is from 2009 Congressional Testimony I presented laying out the status of Virginia’s attempts to adapt to sea level rise and other climate change impacts. Over three years later, the statement is still true and I repeated it in a story on Virginia’s efforts to deal with Sea Level Rise.
